Is Turnover Starting to Feel Normal in Your Office?

If it feels like someone on your team is always halfway out the door, you are definitely not alone.

In 2024, 23% of assistants* and nearly 30% of front-office staff* changed jobs. Turnover has quietly become a shared experience for a lot of teams, and the cost adds up faster than most people realize.

What often gets missed is how early the problem starts. People rarely leave out of nowhere. They leave after long stretches of effort that feel invisible or unacknowledged.

The data backs this up. Employees who receive high-quality recognition are about 45% less likely to leave**, while those who do not feel recognized are twice as likely to quit.

That is because recognition reinforces effort. When people see their work noticed and appreciated, they are more likely to stay engaged, invested, and connected to the team.

So while you may not be able to control the job market, you can design systems that help people feel seen, supported, and genuinely happy to show up.

Teams that are seeing stronger retention have discovered something simple but powerful: recognition works best when it’s part of everyday work, not something saved for special occasions.

That’s where automation really shines. When recognition is connected to real moments and shows up close to the action, it feels more natural, more thoughtful, and a lot more reliable.

Many Culturello customers already take this approach with patients by automating encouragement, follow-ups, and positive reinforcement so nothing slips through the cracks. That same way of thinking translates seamlessly to teams.

When recognition is built into the system:

  • Managers feel less pressure to keep track of everything
  • Appreciation shows up right when it matters
  • Teams feel seen more often, leading to higher job satisfaction and lower turnover rates

For organizations using Culturello Patients today, extending this internally is a natural next step — one that supports retention while making everyone’s day a little easier.

Ideas You Can Implement Today:  March Madness, Community Scavenger Hunt & the Month of Love

March Madness:

Are your members mad for March Madness? Lean into the excitement with a multi-channel engagement campaign using promotions, surveys, and social media. This is a great way to connect with your members outside of their office visits.

How to Set Up:

  1. Log in to the Hub and schedule these surveys.
  2. Then set up a promotion to let your Members know about the campaign

QR Community Scavenger Hunt:

Grow your business and support your community partners with a QR Code Scavenger Hunt. QR Codes are the best, easiest way to award points *and* collect new leads! By placing them strategically in your partners’ or neighbor’s businesses, you direct your members to their business and pick-up new potential members. A win-win.

How to Set Up:

  1. Create a QR code, download the assets, print out, and give to your community partner to showcase in their business.
  2. You can make unique QR codes for each business so you know where the most points are coming from!

Valentine’s Automations and Rewards:

It wouldn’t be the month of love without a little extra something for your members! There are tons of low-touch ways to celebrate and delight your members this season with automations and surprise points and fun, new reward items.

How to Set-Up:

  1. Add a new Reward Menu Item for Valentine’s Day month and set the dates for the duration of the campaign
  2. Create a holiday automation to automatically deliver points and a special Valentine’s Day recognition to your Members

Spotlight On: Greyfinch Integration and Partnership

We’re thrilled to share that our integration partnership with Greyfinch Practice Management System has been released, a milestone moment for the thousands of practices that use both of our systems!

This new integration means that points are automatically awarded in Culturello at key moments in the patient journey, such as: after the first consult, when treatment begins, on-time arrivals, and upon treatment completion. This is the latest of many integrations that exist in your Hub, including other key practice management systems for orthodontists, AxisCare for home health care providers, and social media platforms for everyone.
