QR Code Automation: The EGGcellent Egg Hunt 🐰 🥚

Add some extra fun to your office visits by creating The EGGcellent Egg Hunt using your Hub's QR code automation. Visitors can search for paper eggs containing QR codes, and scan the codes with their mobile device to automatically award themselves points. Double the points for the golden egg to make finding it especially egg-citing. Let's hop in!  🐰

Note- If a member is not logged in or not yet registered, they can enter their name and DOB to claim their points. Afterwards, they will be directed to complete the registration process.

 

Create QR Codes for Each Egg

  1. Visit Automations in your Hub (Manage > Automations) and click [Create]
  2. Choose [Office Visit Points - QR Code]
  3. Give your automation a descriptive title, like "Egg Hunt - QR Code 1"
  4. Choose which groups are able to hunt for eggs, like future and active members.
  5. Choose your reward amount. Keep in mind that every point in the Hub = 10 cents, and you'll have several eggs that will have points. Consider varying the number of points for each egg and making the highest amount the golden egg to make it fun to hunt for the egg with the highest points.
  6. Set a QR Scan Limit high enough that each member can only receive points for each egg once (like once every 9 months)
  7. Activate the automation
  8. Download the small QR code (1.5" square) from the Assets list.

  9. Create new QR codes for each egg in your hunt so that members receive points when they scan each egg, as each code will only award points to each member once.

Prepare Your Eggs for the Hunt

  1. Download the egg graphics attached to the end of this article
  2. Print one egg per page
  3. Cut out your QR codes and attach a unique code to each egg (don't use the same QR code for all egg)
  4. Cut out your eggs and post them around the office

A golden egg is one of the graphics attached to this article so that you can attach the QR code with the highest number of points to it, adding to the fun of hunting for the golden egg!

 

Spread the Word

We've created a flyer to help spread the word in your office about the egg hunt. Consider placing it in an acrylic stand on your counter so members see it when they check in for their visit.

Download egg_hunt_instructions.jpg below. Note that there are two versions: one to download the Patient Rewards Hub app, and a second to download the Hubbux app. The flyer you choose depends on which app your members download to access their account.

Note that members will need to be logged into the Patient Rewards Hub or Hubbux mobile app to award themselves points. If they haven't yet registered their account, you can send them an invite from their profile in your office portal.

Spread the word to members not scheduled to visit your office between now and April 30th by creating an in-app message in Communications, an event using Promotions Manager, and post to social media to spread the word.
