QR Code Automation: Gold Coin Quest

Office visits are a golden opportunity to create a more engaging member experience. The Gold Coin Quest uses your Hub’s QR code automation to turn routine visits into an interactive rewards activity. Members search for hidden gold coins containing QR codes and scan them with their mobile device to automatically earn rewards points. Consider varying the point values across gold coins to keep the activity playful and engaging.

Note: If a member is not logged in or not yet registered, they’ll be prompted to log in or create an account before points are awarded.

 

Create QR Codes for Each Coin

  1. Go to Settings > Automations in your Hub and click +Add
  2. Choose [Office Visit Points - QR Code]
  3. Give your automation a descriptive title, like "Gold Coin Quest  - QR code 2 Points"
  4. Choose which groups are eligible to participate, such as future and active members
  5. Choose your reward amount. Keep in mind that every point in the Hub = 10 cents, and you’ll be creating multiple gold coins with points. Consider assigning different point values across the coins to keep the experience light and fun.
  6. Set a QR Scan Limit high enough that each member can only receive points for each gold coin once (for example, once every 9 months)
  7. Activate the automation
  8. Download the small QR code (1.5" square) from the Assets list.
  9. Repeat these steps until you’ve created a QR code for each gold coin in your hunt. Remember, each QR code will only award points to each member once.
  

 

Prepare Your Gold Coins for the Quest

 

  1. Download the gold coin graphics attached to the end of this article

  2. Print one gold coin per page

  3. Cut out your gold coins and attach a unique QR code to each one
    (Do not reuse the same QR code for multiple coins)

  4. Place or hide the gold coins around your office for members to find

 

Spread the Word

We’ve created a flyer to help you introduce the Gold Coin Quest in your office. Consider placing it in an acrylic frame at check-in or in waiting areas so members see it during their visit.

Members must be logged into the Patient Rewards Hub, Hubbux, or Culturello mobile app to award themselves points. If a member hasn’t registered yet, you can send them an invite directly from their profile in your office portal.
