That’s why the Member Registration QR Code Automation is designed to make it frictionless—turning a quick scan into a seamless onboarding experience.

Step 1: Set Up
Head to Settings ⚙️ > Automations
Step 2: Add a New Automation
Click Add to open up your menu of Automation options.
Step 3: Select “Member Registration – QR Code”
Choose the automation labeled Member Registration – QR Code.
This opens a customization editor built to guide brand-new members through your registration flow—while rewarding them for joining.
Step 4: Title Your Automation
Give your Automation a clear, memorable title—something like:
✨ “Welcome Bonus - Scan to Join”
✨ “New Member Kickoff”
✨ “Join. Earn. Start Now.”
Step 5: Assign Groups
In the Groups section, select who’s eligible to earn points from this Automation. Since this is for registration, it should be open to anyone who qualifies to join your program.
Step 6: Set the Reward
Under the What section, assign the number of points a new member will earn for registering via the QR code. You can also auto assign a tag, as well as auto-convert the lead to a member.
Step 7: Set Frequency
In the When section, define how often the points can be claimed. Since this is for first-time registration, choose one scan per person to ensure each member only receives this reward once.
Step 8: Activate Your Automation
Click Activate Automation and you’ll receive a scannable QR code that you can:
- Print for events and front desk displays
- Share digitally in emails or SMS
- Use in presentations or social posts
Step 9: Viewing Participation
At anytime you may view member participation by going to Settings>Automations>View.
Select the date range at the top and it will display number of participants as well as give a detail breakdown including member names at the bottom of the page.
What Happens Next?
When someone scans the QR code:
- They’ll be guided to enter their name and date of birth to claim their reward.
- If they’re not already registered, they’ll be prompted to complete their profile right then and there.
