Talking about your membership program consistently is the key to keeping your Hub shining bright in your patients' minds. To help you keep the conversation engaging and effective, we’ve put together some scripting ideas. Feel free to adjust them to match your practice’s unique personality and style.

Focus on Excitement and Value

When introducing your membership program, use a friendly and enthusiastic prompt to highlight the fun and rewarding benefits:

General Introduction “I’m excited to share our membership program with you! It’s simple—you’ll earn points at every visit for things like showing up on time, brushing well, and taking great care of your braces. You can even earn points between visits by playing contests, filling out surveys, and more. And guess what? You’ve already earned points just for being here today!”

Keep It Simple and Visual: Leverage Tools Like QR Codes

Using QR Codes for Points “Our membership program makes every visit more fun! All you have to do is scan this QR code at your appointment to earn points for things like being on time and taking great care of your braces. Between visits, you can keep earning points by logging in and playing contests, completing surveys, and more.”

Highlight Fun Features and Positive Behaviors

Accessing the Hub “You can access your Rewards Hub anytime by downloading the app or clicking the link on our website. Once you’re in, you’ll find plenty of ways to earn points, like participating contests, filling out surveys, following us on social media, or leaving a review. You can even refer your friends through the app—and when they become patients, you both get rewarded!”

Encourage Engagement with Clear Call-to-Actions

Redeeming Points for Rewards “Our membership program makes every step of your journey more exciting. As you earn points, you can redeem them for amazing prizes like Target, Starbucks, or Amazon gift cards, along with plenty of other great options. What reward are you most excited to go after?”

Introducing Your Membership Program to Parents

Getting Parents Involved “Our membership program is a great way to support your child’s progress and keep them motivated throughout treatment. As a parent, you can create your own Parent Account and earn points that you can share with your child when you see them wearing their elastics as instructed, tracking their brushing and flossing, or help them reach rewards faster. Or, you can save your points for something special for yourself. It’s all about making the journey rewarding—for both of you!”’

Linking Accounts “You can link your account with your child’s. It makes it easy to track progress, manage points, and stay involved in their treatment goals. It’s a fun and meaningful way to support their success and celebrate milestones along the way!

Talking About Your Membership Program at Each Visit

Every patient should hear these three key points during their visit:

  • What they earned points for today: “Great job today! You earned 10 points for being on time, taking great care of your teeth, and having no loose or broken brackets. That brings your total to 50 points!”
  • Ask what they’re saving their points for: “Are you saving your points for something special, like a Target or Amazon gift card?” [Wait for response and engage based on their answer.] “That’s awesome! It’s exciting to see your points adding up.”
  • Let them know how they can earn more points: “If you haven’t left a review yet, now’s a great time! You’ll earn extra points, and it’s so quick and easy—you could even do it right now while we wait for the doctor.”

Talking About Your Membership Program at the New Patient Exam

The new patient exam is the perfect time to introduce your rewards program and show off how fun and rewarding treatment can be. Make this first visit memorable by connecting with both the patient and the parent about the exciting benefits of your program!

  • “You’re not just going to have an amazing smile when you finish treatment with us—you’ll also have a ton of fun along the way! We have this awesome rewards program where you can earn points at every visit. Things like great hygiene, good grades, and visiting your dentist all help you rack up points. And guess what? You’ve already earned points just for coming in today! Plus, the points you earn can be traded for some really fun prizes. How cool is that?”
  • “One of the great things about our program is how it helps keep patients excited and motivated throughout treatment. If you’re ready to move forward, we can go ahead and schedule records today. Not only will this help us prepare to get started, but [Patient Name] will also earn bonus points as a fun way to kick things off.”
  • Same-Day Start Bonus Points: “If you start treatment today, you’ll earn an extra 100 points! It’s a special way to kickstart your rewards and your journey.”

Talking about Your Membership Program to Your Retention Patients

  •  “Even though your treatment is complete, you’re still a big part of our practice, and we’d love to invite you to join our rewards program! There are so many ways to earn points—like following us on social media, leaving us a review, or referring your friends to our practice. And the best part? When your friend becomes a patient, both of you will earn some awesome rewards!”

  • “Getting started is easy! Just download the Patient Rewards Hub app on your phone or tablet, enter your username and password, and turn on notifications so you never miss a chance to earn points.”

  • “We truly consider you part of our family, and it’s been such an honor to work with you through your smile transformation. We’re so excited to keep you connected to the fun!”

Talking About Your Membership Program to Your Kids Club Members and Their Parents

  • Kids Club: “You might not be ready for braces just yet, but you are ready to join our Kids Club! Here’s your membership card—make sure to bring it with you to every appointment so you can earn points for things like being on time, taking great care of your smile, losing a tooth, and more. It’s going to be so much fun!”
  • Earning Points: “You can earn even more points at home by participating in contests and surveys on our app or website. You can also complete a tooth brushing chart or write a story about losing a tooth, and bring it to your next appointment to score bonus points. There’s always something fun to do!"

Now that you have the tools and talking points, start practicing with your team and bringing the program into everyday conversations. You’re the voice of the program—your excitement and positivity will help create a fun, rewarding experience that patients remember.
