Enabling Cookies in Your Internet Web Browser

Cookies are the most popular way that websites remember your details and preferences on the internet. In some cases cookies may need to be enabled. Cookies are stored on your computer and are found in all major browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Below you will find how to enable cookies for these various web browsers.

Enabling Cookies on Google Chrome for Windows

  1. Click the "customize and control" menu at the top right. 

  2. Click the "Settings" controls. A new tab will automatically open.

  3. Click on "Show advanced settings...." near the bottom of the page.

  4. Click on "Content settings...."

  5. Under "Cookies," make sure that "Allow local data to be set (recommended)" is selected.

  6. Click "Done."

 

Enabling Cookies on Google Chrome for Mac

  1. Click the Chrome menu

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Click Click on "Show advanced settings...." near the bottom of the page.

  4. Click Content Settings

  5. Click 'Allow local data to be set'

 

Enabling Cookies on Firefox (Windows and Mac)

  1. Click the Firefox menu up top left. (On a Mac, click the Firefox menu.)

  2. Select "Options", and then "Options" again. (On a Mac, select Preferences.)

  3. Click the Privacy tab.

  4. Click the "Firefox will..." dropdown and select "use custom settings for history".

  5. Select the "Accept cookies from sites" checkbox.

  6. Click the OK button.

 

Enabling Cookies on Internet Explorer for Windows

  1. Click the Tools menu top right. It will look like a gear icon.

  2. Select "Internet Options."

  3. Click the Privacy tab.

  4. Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to 'Medium').**Note** If you want to manually adjust your options, click the "Advanced" button to the left of "Default". This will give you more options for customization.

  5. Click the "OK" button.

 

Enabling Cookies on Apple Safari for Mac

  1. Click the "Safari" dropdown in the top left of your screen and select "Preferences"

  2. Click the Privacy tab.

  3. In the "Block Cookies" section, select "Never."

 

Enabling Cookies on Safari for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

  1. Go to the settings app on the home screen

  2. In settings, go to the category called safari

  3. Go to the part that says accept cookies___________ from whatever your settings are. Default is never.



  4. Pick what you want, always, from visited or never



  5. Your new settings have been applied. Enjoy the stay logged in feature and other features that require cookies.
