Install Firefox on Windows

1. Visit http://www.getfirefox.com in any browser.



2.  Click on the green download link (the page will automatically recommend the best version of Firefox for you) to download the Firefox installer.




3. Run the downloaded file. (It is recommended that you exit all your other running programs.)




4.  You may see a User Account Control message. In this case, allow the setup to run by clicking "Yes."




5.  You will be greeted with a welcome screen. Click "Next" to continue.

 




6.  Select Standard setup and click "Next".




7.  Decide whether or not you would like to use Firefox as your default browser and click "Next."




8.  The installation is now complete. Check finish to compete. (If the "Launch Firefox now" checkbox is checked, Firefox will start for the first time immediately after you click finish)





Install Firefox on Mac


1.  Visit http://www.getfirefox.com in any browser.


2. Click on the green download link (the page will automatically recumbent the best version of Firefox for you) to download the Firefox installer.




3. Download the disk image (.dmg file) to your Desktop. Once the download has completed, the disk image may open by itself and mount a new volume which contains the Firefox application. If you do not see the new volume, double-click the Firefox dmg icon to open it.




4.  A finder window will appear, containing the Firefox application. Drag the Firefox Icon into the Applications folder. (NOTE: If you don't have administrative rights, drag the icon to a location on your computer where you do have rights, such as your Desktop. Google Chrome will only be installed for your user account.)




5. The first time you open Firefox, the Finder will ask you to confirm that you want to open the application downloaded from the Internet. Click "Open" to continue.




6. Unmount the Firefox disk image on your Desktop by dragging it to the Eject icon on the Dock. Make sure you're dragging the disk image and not the Google Chrome application icon.
